about
Mellie Meteors…
…is an independent artist working from Berlin. When the global pandemic hit, he moved here – while most of the music industry came to a halt, and has been making a name for himself playing on the streets and the underground scene.
With a style ranging between indie, electro, reggae and rock, his songs are often characterized by a dynamic vocal reach with strong falsettos. Sometimes carefree, sometimes melancholic, but always conveying a glimmer of hope.
Before moving to Berlin and fully focusing on his solo project, Mellie was involved in several projects and bands with which he toured extensively on the club and festival circuit of The Netherlands, as well as France, Germany and Sweden.

Other Projects
KOMETEOR (2017 - Ongoing)
One half of synthwave duo KOMETEOR, this side-project playfully explores the sound of the 80's and blends its iconic synths and dramatic vocals with a modern day trippiness.

Mannen Met Snorren (2011 - 2015)
Between 2011 and 2015 Mellie was the frontman of electro-rock band Mannen Met Snorren and performed in many major clubs in Holland. From this act with fat synths, distorted guitars, techno beats and white leather jackets, the stage persona Mellie Meteors was born.

Entresept (2020)
The Entresept project came in response to the Covid-19 related lockdowns, as a different way to experience music in the public space when concerts were temporarily banned. Inspired by numerological mysticism, on 13/7, one could find slightly vague, slightly intriguing messages joined by a QR-code throughout the city. Following the code, the listener would be invited on a guided audio tour. Starting off as a mindful thought exercise, it evolved towards an electronic soundtrack to their urban surroundings that was experimental, industrial and finally somewhat spiritual.

I'm With Stupid (2016 - 2019)
From 2016 to 2019 Mellie joined reggae-rock party band I'm With Stupid in different positions as bassist, guitarist and on keys. They played the skate-surf scene, festivals as well as touring the French coast.
